What a wonderful afternoon!
I just returned from this year’s D25 Christmas Party, hosted by our very own Program Quality Director, Phylliss Christian-Daniels. Many thanks to Phylliss and Jacques for opening their home up to us for this event.
The Elf-themed party was well attended and included Buddy the Elf (DD Jesse) and Elfette (PQD Phylliss) and other festively-dressed Toastmasters. We played a movie trivia game about Christmas movies. Thank you Samantha Watt, Public Relations Manager, for the challenging questions. I can’t tell you who won, but it definitely wasn’t my team! We didn’t win but we had fun!
Our favorite Toastmaster St. Nick was able to fit us into his busy schedule. Santa Chuck was in attendance, got photos, and entertained old and young alike.

Did I mention the nibbles? Jesse brought a special homemade salsa with just the right amount of punch! There were delicious BBQ ribs, cookies, and several veggie and fruit platters. I’m sure I’m missing something, but I sure I didn’t miss eating anything. Samantha toiled over a big pot of hot chocolate, and there was whipped cream and marshmallows to adorn every steamy beverage.
It was such a fun afternoon! We all had the opportunity to spend quality time with our Toastmaster pals. There were old friends to chat with and new friends to be made. I overheard numerous discussions about Summit speeches, the upcoming contest season and Conference next year.
This party has set me solidly in a holiday mood. Have I told you lately l how much I love all my D25 Toastmasters? Y’all rock! Happy Chrissy, one and all.
