Toastmasters Leadership Institute.
It’s Free! Free refreshments also provided at in person events for those who pre-register.
None! Simply register in advance.
Any Toastmaster! You don’t have to be an officer to attend. If you are thinking about running for an office in the future, go to training sessions to find out about officer roles and responsibilities. Attend electives to improve your Communication and Leadership skills. Network and make new friends! There’s something for everyone!
If you hold different officer roles in the same club or in different clubs, then you need to attend additional training for the additional offices. This can be completed by attending one of the supplemental training sessions in addition to one of the officer specific trainings and the general session or you can attend each of the officer sessions by going to multiple TLIs. You do not need to complete the general session multiple times.
If you’re the same officer in multiple clubs, you need to only attend one session. However, you need to sign in at the class for both clubs so you get credit for each club.

Yes.
District 25 believes that having every officer trained in the club semi-annually helps maintain the health and vitality of the clubs.
You might get different ideas at this training session. And you can provide additional insights to the newer officers at the training session. If you have served in the office for quite a while, consider letting another member have an opportunity to grow by taking on your office. You can take the opportunity to grow at the same time by mentoring your successor, serving in a different club office, or even becoming a district officer.

For your club to get credit for the DCP (Distinguished Club Program), 4 officers must be trained in the summer and 4 officers must be trained in the winter. For the Super 7 award, all 7 officers must be trained in both the summer and winter. Summer training is often different from winter training. In the summer, the focus is on the start of the year and learning the basics. In the winter, the emphasis may be more on lessons learned during the past 6 months and problems encountered. Now that you’ve got 6 months of experience in the office, you’ve likely got a completely different set of questions to ask than you did at the beginning of the year.
No. Unless you are seeking credit for two officer roles, attendance at supplemental sessions are optional. While you're not required to participate, we highly encourage it. These interactive and engaging sessions offer valuable insights that go beyond your officer role and can enrich your overall Toastmasters experience.

To get credit for the club’s DCP (Distinguished Club Program), only four officers need to be trained. However, to ensure the best functioning of the club, it’s beneficial for all officers to be trained. Also, it helps the club when non-officers get trained so that they can serve on committees or be prepared to take on an officer role in the future. It is also to their advantage to attend supplement sessions that help improve their leadership and/or communications skills.
When all 7 officers are trained in each summer and winter session, the club receives the Super 7 Award for each session. Your club will receive a ribbon for your banner.
Individual or club-level training is not allowed for DCP credit.
TLI isn’t just for club officers—it’s for every member who wants to grow personally and professionally. You’ll learn valuable leadership and communication strategies, connect with members from across the district, and gain tools to help you succeed in Toastmasters and beyond.
And if you're considering becoming a club officer in the future, attending different officer training sessions is a great way to explore the various roles and discover which one aligns best with your interests and strengths.
Yes, we ask that attendees pre-register—even though all sessions are virtual. Pre-registration helps us plan more effectively, ensures accurate attendance credit for officer training, and allows us to communicate important updates before the event.
However, if you haven’t had a chance to register in advance, you can still register during the first 30 minutes after the Zoom bridge opens.
At the bottom of the TLI page, you’ll find a link to the summer or winter attendance spreadsheet titled “Leadership Training Report.” Scroll down to locate your Club Number. If your officer position is not marked as attended, check the top of the spreadsheet to see date of the last update and which sessions are included. If you believe you should have been credited but are not listed, please reach out to the TLI Team at TLI@d25toastmasters.org or the Program Quality Director for assistance.
Find a quiet, comfortable spot and have something handy to take notes. Come ready to participate and make the most of your learning and collaborative experience.
To receive credit for attending TLI, you must be present no later than 15 minutes after the general session begins. Unfortunately, if you arrive more than 15 minutes late, credit cannot be given.
However, you're still welcome to stay, participate, and benefit from the training—even if you're not eligible for credit at that time.
