If you ever get a chance to go to a speech contest, I would highly recommend it. If you ever want to be part of the amazing team that puts on the events, that is where real magic happens. A contest needs a lot of helpers with everything from a special Toastmaster, ballot counters, and of course the mysterious and allusive judges.
A Toastmasters judge plays a pivotal role in upholding the integrity and success of speech contests. A great judge is keenly observant, capable of recognizing not just the obvious strengths, but the subtleties of a speaker’s delivery, structure, and message. They understand the importance of adhering to strict judging criteria. But wait … there’s more.
Our outstanding leader this month does it all: She trains at TLI sessions, she attended the District Executive meeting to train the Area and Division Directors and even gave a special President’s training session at our District 25 President’s breakfast event. Congratulations to the amazing Anna Kielpinski, you are the Outstanding Leader for January! Anna, we are so grateful for your remarkable contributions, and we know that this contest season is going to be amazing. Just one more thing … If you’re looking for a growth opportunity, Anna might have a contest coming up that she’d love for you to be a judge for. Grow Judge GROW!
