by Jesse Ford DTM District Director
In a world that argues you need a job to get experience, and experience to get a job, enter the solution that is Toastmasters. Our Outstanding Leader of the Month for April is currently working a full-time job, is a member of one corporate and one community club and also finds time to be an Area Director. This member then decided that she wanted to help out even more and joined the Conference Committee. She will be one of the Toastmasters, is now on the Strategic Planning Committee, and is still looking for more to do. Phew … I am tired just thinking about all of this.
Congratulations to Lydeisha Gossett, the April Outstanding Leader of the Month! Lydeisha is a family person on top of everything she does for the district and really models how, when you have the “can-do” attitude, you can make anything happen. Thank you Lydeisha for all you do as the VPM in your clubs and for helping share positive encouragement everywhere you go. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Life’s most urgent question: What are you doing for others?” Well, I know what I am doing … I want to be like Lydeisha, and you should too. Congratulations again to Lydeisha Gossett, Area Director, VPM, Mom, and now Outstanding Leader of the Month!
