Division G is having a great time Becoming One this year in District 25. We’ve seen some exciting growth, as our Area Directors and Division Director visit all of our clubs, building relationships and helping meet members’ and clubs’ needs. While being spread out across Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland-Odessa, Fort Worth, and San Angelo creates unique challenges, Becoming One is what we’re all about, and we have greatly appreciated the online and hybrid options to join D25 events and training! We are also looking forward to meeting more people in person at our Area and Division Contests, as well as the Conference next year.
Division G had a blast hosting our Summer TLI, introducing D25 to some of our local presenters and trainers for various sessions, and we were delighted to see around 90 attendees online. For the recent Area Council, we had thought-provoking and constructive conversations with our club officers on Club Success Plans, meeting our goals, and “Brain Writing,” or problem-solving together for challenges a club or officer may face. Additionally, the Division Director and Area Directors had fun sourcing items for our Summit Basket for the raffle – finding various items for a Taste of Texas across our “Greatest of All Territories,” or GOAT, as we call it! (*Note: Greatest as in the largest or biggest territory in D25.)
I also want to shout out our clubs and Area Directors for a few Division G accomplishments thus far. As a Division, our club has already completed 44 Pathway Levels. Eleven out of our 17 clubs have added a total of 25 new members. What an exciting time to be in Toastmasters! As we look ahead, we are planning for our Winter TLI, the Contest Season, and developing next year’s leaders. We have some eager contestants, so we hope everyone is already preparing their contest speeches now.
