by Jesse Ford DTM District Director
Andrew Carnegie once said, “No man will make a great leader who wants to do it all himself, or to get the credit for doing it.” I heard this and thought to myself for a while on it. It made me think who out there is doing this and how do we know? Over the last few months most of the new team of Area Directors have eagerly taken on every challenge and faced every opportunity thrown at them. As you would expect some are finding new ways to do things, others are getting more people involved, but all are growing. Our outstanding leader this month has taken this year and is doing everything they can to make it the best year yet.
Congratulations to Joshua Bauer Area 53 Director and the October Outstanding Member of the month. Joshua said yes to being an Area Director this year, has written 2 articles for past Hot Topics editions and most recently even helped as one of the newly created XP guide role (Room Managers) at the Summit. The guy does it all. One thing special to note about Joshua is that when he learned the value of the Brain Writing exercise he was sharing how he learned not only great ideas but he implemented them. I hear through the trees that you can now reach Area 53 Director in his very own “office hours” so clubs can always count on him to be available. Division E Director Larry Harmon had this to say about Joshua, “You don’t even have to ask him about his club visits…He will tell you about them. All 40 or more of them” Now Larry might exaggerate some but all crazy aside…Joshua Bauer is showing how great leaders truly show the way! Thank you again Joshua and Congratulations.
