World Renowned Grand Prairie Toastmasters Offered an in-person and online Open House on June 4, 2024, for their Charterversary, Open House, and Golden Gavel Celebration!
The theme was Pie Day which cleverly referenced the Toastmasters meeting structure which is Prepared Speeches, Impromptu Speaking, and Evaluations.
This event had a total of four visitors. One visitor was Bria Nicolee who won Best Table Topics, impressing everyone with her amazing impromptu speech. Their guest speaker, Mark English, entranced the audience with a speech entirely constructed with song lyrics and was awarded Best Speaker. Jay Sonderegger, a guest, also received the Best Evaluator award for his constructive and encouraging feedback for Mark English’s speech. All four visitors showed interest in becoming future members, and their participation added energy to the meeting!
To top the night off, door prizes, including a gift card for a free pizza P.I.E. and two whole pies from a popular local restaurant were a huge hit among the attendees.
