by Kelsey Dean Summit Manager
Wow — what an incredible honor it was to lead this year’s Summit Team!
When I first said yes, I thought, “Okay, this’ll be fun – we’ll plan a few sessions, make some calls, and put on a great event.” What I didn’t realize was how much heart, creativity, and teamwork it really takes to make something like this come to life. And let me tell you – this team showed up big time.
Every single person brought their A-game. Whether it was recruiting volunteers, learning new skills, designing graphics, juggling the tech and web stuff, or keeping track of all those tiny-but-critical details that somehow pop up five minutes before showtime this group handled it all with grace, humor, and a can-do attitude. I’m so proud of what we accomplished together.
I’ve learned so much from each of them – about leadership, collaboration, and how much fun it can be to pull off something that brings our district together like this. And maybe the most important thing I learned? When you surround yourself with passionate people, there’s no such thing as “too big” a challenge.
I hope each of you were inspired by some aspect of this event, but most of all, I hope you were inspired to get involved in making these things happen. It’s always more fun to be on the inside!
If Summit 2025 sparked something in you – maybe you’ve been thinking, “Hmm… that looks like fun,” or, “I’d love to help make that happen next time” – this is your sign! Step up and volunteer to be the next Summit Manager or to serve on the committee! It’s an adventure that provides a chance to grow as a leader, to collaborate with incredible Toastmasters, and to create something unforgettable. It’s 100% worth it!
District 25, thank you all for being part of this journey with us. This Summit has been a true team effort – and together, we’ve shown what’s possible when Toastmasters combine passion, purpose, and a little bit of magic.
