What happens when you have an open house event and two out of three members of the Trio show up and take on a role? And what if the district Public Relations Manager, Administration Manager, three out of the six Division Directors, and even the Area Director show up? No need to ask any more questions because this month our open house winner can tell you all about it! Congratulations to San Angelo Toastmasters!
During the recap, Club President Sallie Jett shared that they had seven guests, several special-themed and brand-compliant Zoom backgrounds, and participation from all levels of the district. In this exceptional meeting, District Director Marcheta Gardner showed up and took on the Ah Counter role since she was working on her NEMELITA incentive. Don’t worry, she still made us all feel empowered. The club had two guest speakers from other clubs and much more. Area Director Jorge Daniel Santiago Garcia delivered some highly inspirational table topics, and the evaluators ensured our speakers felt nothing but sunshine.
In the end, one of the guests, Gabrielle F., who is currently working to start her own club, mentioned that “the club meeting was so polished but it’s nice to see how fun it can be!” Wow… What a compliment and a true “toastimonial.” Great job San Angelo and thank you for demonstrating how empowering it can be. We know there’s nothing but a bright future ahead for this club. Congratulations on your amazing work!
