I’ve got homework for every single member of District 25! I want you to mark your calendars for November 11, 2023. You’ll be at the Marriott Westlake Hotel, where you will Ignite Your Shine! This event is especially for you, the members of D25. While there, you will Ignite Your Shine so that you can lead/coach/mentor/inspire others. Here, you’ll learn from your fellow D25 Toastmasters the keys to unlock special topics and question panels of experts – your fellows that have been in the trenches before! Learn from their experience!
D25 Summit Call for Speakers
We need keynote speakers, education session presenters, and workshop facilitators. Please make Jason Jett and my jobs difficult! We want to be overwhelmed with fantastic options to stock the Summit.
D25 needs you to share your SHINE! Do you have a keynote that you’re dying to give? How about a workshop to improve X, where X is any skill related to confidence-building, communication, and storytelling, or an aspect of leadership and influence? Have I got a deal for you! I want you to fill out an application to be a presenter at the District 25 Summit!
For example, I’m pretty good at evaluations and feedback, so I could fill out the application for how I would present that knowledge to attendees. Sound good? I thought so too (’cause that’s what I did back in 2019!).
Presentations need to be two 20-minute sessions or one 40-minute session. Applications will close at midnight on July 31 – so get busy!
Oh! I almost forgot the most important thing (I’m having a Gen X moment). THE APPLICATION!
We’ll also post it to the D25 Facebook bulletin board group (give it a follow here).
Session ideas: member recruitment, club marketing, a panel on successful mentoring, giving excellent evaluations, the art of crafting a speech, any aspect of speech-giving (position, posture, movement, vocal variety), and how to imbue your speech with riveting storytelling.
