I signed up for the New Member Experience: FUNdamentals Workshop to learn how to attract and retain new members. While I’m not a brand-new member, I recently stepped into the role of Vice President Public Relations and wanted practical strategies I could put to work immediately. Jason delivered exactly that and more.
The workshop was upbeat, interactive, and full of real-world examples. Jason kept the energy high while walking us through the full new-member journey, from the first contact to the first speech and beyond. The sample icebreakers, recognition ideas, and meeting flow tips were easy to adapt to our student chapter club at Texas Woman’s University.
As VPPR, I’m leaving with actionable next steps: refresh our social media with consistent calls to action, spotlight members to showcase growth, and streamline our onboarding checklist so new members know exactly what to expect. The discussion time was also invaluable. Asking questions and trading solutions with other club officers gave me fresh perspectives I wouldn’t have found on my own.
Overall, the FUNdamentals Workshop lived up to its name: engaging, practical, and fun. I left feeling confident and inspired armed, with tools I can implement right away to improve the new-member experience and help our club grow. I highly recommend this workshop for club officers and members who want proven, user-friendly strategies.
The next session is September 14th, don’t miss it! Register HERE! You won’t regret attending.
