Some people consider Friday the 13th unlucky – but the members of Motor Mouths Toastmasters proved otherwise during their recent Open House, themed “Friday the 13th Fun!”
Held appropriately on Friday the 13th, the event turned out to be anything but unlucky. In fact, the club welcomed thirteen guests, each getting a firsthand look at the supportive and energetic environment that Toastmasters is known for.
The highlight of the program was guest speaker Crystal Allbritton, DTM, who delivered an engaging presentation titled “Communicate with Confidence.” Her message resonated with both members and guests, offering practical insights on developing strong communication skills and building the confidence needed to speak up in professional and personal settings.
Guests experienced the full Toasters meeting format – from prepared speaking and evaluations to the lively spirit that defines Motor Mouths. The enthusiastic participation and welcoming atmosphere helped demonstrate how Toastmasters provides a safe place to practice leadership and communication skills.
With thirteen guests in attendance, the open house was a clear success – and proof that sometimes 13 really is a lucky number!
Congratulations to Motor Mouths Toastmasters for hosting a fun, engaging, and impactful event that showcased the best of what Toastmasters has to offer.
