by Denise McConnell DTM District Director
Fellow Toastmasters and Leaders of District 25, it is my absolute pleasure to report on the incredible progress we have made together. As we look ahead, my priority is to set a clear target. I want every member of the district to head to a precise destination.
Our mission, ‘We build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence,’ serves as the compass, and I find myself becoming increasingly focused every day on the specific strategies required to fulfill it in our district. I come to you with total confidence when I say: We CAN be a Distinguished District. Growth is the heartbeat of our success. To date, we have successfully chartered four new clubs, and your efforts are crucial in reaching our goal of charting six more by June. Please join me in the mission of building. There are untapped areas in our community that desperately need a Toastmasters club, and your leadership can make a real difference.
However, building the new is only half of the equation. We must also help our existing clubs achieve excellence. Supporting clubs with 12 or fewer members shows they are valued members of our community, and your involvement can truly help them thrive and strengthen our district family.
The Call to Action:
To truly make an impact, I encourage every member of District 25 to actively participate in club growth initiatives to help us reach our shared goals.
- Renew Your Membership: Invest in yourself first. Renew your club membership at Club Central. April renewals are open now. It is a good time to hold an Open house and invite your guests to join your club. If your club adds 5 club members between February 1st and March 31st, your club will qualify for the Talk Up Toastmasters membership-building program.
- Identify a Lead: Pinpoint one business or community center in your area that currently does not have a Toastmasters club and share it with the Club Growth team. This lead will drive our expansion effort.
- Adopt a Club: Reach out to one of our low-member clubs and offer to be a guest speaker, join their meeting, take a role, or sign up to be a coach. Help them achieve excellence. These actions can revitalize their membership and engagement.
Let’s get them back on the growth path. Together, through strategic growth and dedicated club support, we will finish this year more strongly than ever. Let’s make District 25 the gold standard of excellence and Distinguished in 2026! Your participation is key to our shared success.
