Dear Toastmaster, As announced during the Board Briefing at the 2023 International Convention, on July 1, 2024, the regions of Toastmasters International will realign. This will result in a change in the number of regions in the Americas from nine to seven while changing the number of regions in the rest of the world from five to seven. The Board of Directors is required by Article V, Section 4 (i) of the Bylaws of Toastmasters International to periodically review the regional assignment of clubs to ensure no region represents 15% or more of clubs in good standing. By balancing the number of paid clubs in regions, representation on the Board of Directors and opportunities to serve on the Board remain equal and fair for members and Member Clubs throughout the world. Because of the realignment, certain Districts will be reassigned to a new region. View the region maps and District list to see if your District will be in a different region. If you are an incoming District leader, it is especially important for you to check if you will be changing regions and if you will have a new International Director. If you are planning to be an International Officer or Director candidate or are applying to be a Region Advisor, you will also want to check your home region because it may have changed. Please review the Bylaws, Article IX: Elections, Section 2, and Policy 10.0: Region Advisors, Section 2, for the qualifications for these roles.
