I can’t even begin to keep up with our December 2023 Outstanding Member of the Month. She does so much. There are Facebook and Instagram posts made, videos created, MailChimp mailings managed, etc, etc. She creates campaigns, conducts interviews, leads an extremely effective team, is (and has been) a club officer, and has been a panelist at club success workshops…honestly so much I can’t keep up.
Sallie Spradlin-Jett is our Outstanding Member of the Month for December. Her knowledge and creative skillset are at the forefront of what makes her an extremely effective District Public Relations Manager. The thorough, timely communications she and her team issue are fundamental to keeping this district running and all our members informed and engaged.
The pride in her work is evident in everything she manages. Sallie empowers her team to be creative in their engagement and holds regular meetings to communicate, delegate, and most importantly train. She makes sure her team not only knows what is happening now but also what is coming up so they can prepare their timelines and divide responsibilities. This communication ensures that her team can stay in a positive, creative mental space and does not have to worry about burnout even with their workload.
Not only that, but her PR items just look GOOD. Sallie has the creative vision and ability to take a small description and hit the hoped-for imagery not just perfectly, but better than imagined – which is tricky indeed when they must telepathically understand someone else’s envisioned images!
Sallie and her team have been building their procedures and protocols to continue raising the infrastructure of PR in the district. They will be fundamental in supporting the Toastmasters International LinkedIn Campaign that started on January 8 and running for 90 days.
All of that AND Sallie and her team are leading engaging VPPR trainings at TLI sessions, supporting the D25 VPPR Facebook page, and always, always available for anyone in the district – especially VPPRs – who would like training, suggestions, or upskilling to better support their club’s public relations efforts.
Effective, available, engaging, creative, knowledgeable, delegating, leading, encouraging…the list of adjectives goes on, but all of them are how Sallie Spradlin-Jett ‘Shares her Sunshine’ to help her team and others in their goal of making D25 the friendliest district in the world! Congratulations Sallie on being the December 2023 Outstanding Member of the Month!
