“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
How perfect are these words. I don’t know about you, but I love to look at the words of leaders I am inspired by and learn from them. These words are especially perfect for times such as now because we are now over 100 days into the 100TH year and it’s just absolutely amazing to see the things everyone is doing.
In the coming month we will have District Summit happening, and I am so excited to see all the things that Jai Erwin, our Summit Manager, is planning. I look forward to “Leveling Up,” and I hope that you do too. Following that, we will have our next TLI season, and then contest season, and before we know it the year will be over. Ahhh … Ok let’s not get ahead of ourselves. I know that the best of District 25 will always show up and make these events happen. Who’s the best? We are! You are! If you joined today, last week, last year, or 100 years ago, District 25 is amazing because of all of us and what we do together to share the magic of Toastmasters. As I reflect on Dr. King’s words, maybe we can think of it this way.
“If you can’t evaluate then speak, if you can’t speak then be timer, if you can’t be timer then go to a meeting, but whatever you do you have just keep GROWING.”
