Thumbs Up Toastmasters is excited to be recognized as President’s Distinguished for 2023-2024! To build on this excitement, the club had a fantastic Open House event honoring Parent’s Day which was inspired by centennial celebrations in Toastmasters International to kick off the new 2024-2025 Toastmasters year.
As we celebrated the lessons of parenthood, it was heartening to see the diverse group of 14 attendees, each contributing and using the word of the day (perspicacity) in their unique ways. The club was delighted to welcome a variety of guests, including new, experienced, and future Toastmasters, reflecting our inclusive and welcoming spirit.
The audience enjoyed a Pathways Speech fitting the theme with the title “Leaving Behind a Legacy of Purpose.” There was also a thought-provoking Table Topics session followed by meeting evaluations, including role reports and announcements. Congratulations to the club for ringing in the new Toastmasters year in a mighty way. We are all supported through teamwork!
