by David Winkowski DTM Pathways Co-Coordinator
I can’t remember all the circumstances surrounding my agreement to be a Pathways Co-Coordinator, but I do remember that when I learned I would be working with Jim Jameson, it leapt at the chance. Who better to learn from, than from the man who was actually the first to present Pathways to me in a way that I understood. Granted, this was a few years into my Pathways journey (thanks to career changes and “free path” offers), I already had three paths in progress. I was already enamored with Pathways – the options and flexibility of it drew me in – but it was a playground of possibilities at that time kind of like one of those ‘choose-your-own-adventure novels’ where you created your plot on the fly. After Jim’s seminar, it became a PLAN-your-own-adventure experience. I suddenly understood more about how Pathways works, and how it can work for me!
Getting the opportunity to actually work and learn from Jim was an opportunity I could not pass up. I have already learned so much from him, but Jim is not my only teacher on this journey. I hope to learn from all of you as well. We are trying to make the Pathways experience a better one for everyone and, like learning to speak more effectively, we can’t do that without ideas, feedback, and advice from you. Let us know if there is something that needs clarifying. We will do what we can to clear the fog.
That is what I hope to accomplish as we continue this journey. There are many challenges ahead of us as we move through upcoming changes and the new learning management system, along with the tweaks to Pathways that will come along with it. I ask for your support and patience as we work through this together. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help. Jim and I are always happy to help.
