Blue Castle Collaborators is a welcoming, friendly, and supportive community club affiliated with the Cook Children’s Health Care System. This club meets in a virtual setting on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. On August 15, 2023, they celebrated their second hybrid open house. Impressively, 17 of the 24 members graced the occasion, joined by 17 guests, among whom were 16 non-Toastmasters and the distinguished Division Director, Denise McConnell.
The meeting was well promoted, and attendees were treated to refreshments while proudly displaying their name badges and name cards. The meeting featured two amazing Pathways speeches, including one icebreaker. Table Topics were creative and fun, and the meeting ran like clockwork. It was a great success with several guests expressing an interest in joining. The Best Table Topics award was earned by a non-Toastmaster guest, and deserving members who had recently achieved Pathways milestones were duly acknowledged.
Moreover, a special tribute was paid to the outgoing President, and the Area Director, Jenny Riddle, presented a sunshine medallion to the newly appointed Club President, Erica Espinosa. As your Club Growth Director Blue Castle Collaborators, I commend you for not only conducting an amazing Open House but for also achieving the Golden Gavel Award. Keep up the outstanding work!
