Lewisville Western Days is an annual community festival held on the last weekend of September.  Over 25,000 people visit the festival which features live music, kids’ activities, and booths from community organizations and local businesses.  District 25 participated this year with a booth.

Thanks to all the work of nine different clubs with 17 volunteers for helping to promote Toastmasters to the community.  Photos from the booth are posted on the D25 Facebook page.

Booth volunteer Vicky McKenzie described her experience:
Volunteering at Western Days was a good community venue for making the community aware of Toastmasters as well as networking with other members of District 25.   I volunteered on the first night.  Visitors who stopped at the booth left with a better understanding of Toastmasters. I observed that the community has a strong interest in communication opportunities for youth.   The event was a good promotional event to get the word out about what Toastmasters offers.
