ICE Breakers Toastmasters Club held a “Spring Into Action” Open House on March 22.  We had a great turnout — 36 guests and 15 members. Various trophies and awards received by ICE Breakers members were displayed. Pizza, salad, and dessert were served for lunch. Stanley See, Region Advisor; Diana Patton, Immediate Past District Governor; Marylee Mims, Lt. Governor Marketing; and Greg Pick, Division C Governor were in attendance.

Stanley See presented the City of Irving with the Toastmasters Corporate Recognition Award. City Manager Tommy Gonzalez accepted the award on the city’s behalf.

Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne wasn’t able to attend, but provided a Proclamation declaring March 22, 2013 as ICE Breakers Toastmasters Day. ICE Breakers President Naya Pope presented the Proclamation to Mr. Gonzalez.

This was the most successful Open House in our four-year history. Several guests have expressed interest in joining the club and some have already attended since then.
