District 25 is excited to announce that International President John Lau, DTM, is paying us an official visit at our Fall Conference! This event truly will be The Greatest Show on Earth with such a distinguished guest!
Want to know how we scored such a prize? We just asked! At the International Convention in August, our D25 trio was visiting with President Lau. He is quite personable and easy to talk to. When he learned we were from the DFW area, he told us that he would be traveling from his home in Malaysia to come to another meeting in Dallas in November. We invited him to attend our conference and learn all about true Texas hospitality! It turned out that his meeting ends on Wednesday, so he will be able to join us for a full official visit, complete with corporate visits and International Toastmasters corporate award presentations. He will be accompanied by his lovely wife Rebecca and will join us for the full conference as well!
We want YOU – to come to our Fall Conference, meet and greet President Lau and his wife, and open your eyes to the global scale of Toastmasters International. President Lau will deliver the keynote address “Toastmasters International: Where Leaders Are Made” at the Awards Luncheon.
We want every chapter to have at least one member present to hear his talk. President Lau will share his leadership experiences in Toastmasters and in the corporate world. He will help each member determine what kind of leader he or she aspires to be this year.
President Lau will also be awarding the highest educational achievement of Toastmasters International at the Distinguished Toastmasters Ceremony on Saturday night. How exciting for those members achieving the DTM to be able to say that their DTM was presented by none other than the International President!
We want each member to join us for the Fall Conference and Explore the Possibilities of what Toastmasters International truly means!
