TM 101- The New Toastmaster - What do all those Acronyms Mean?
This session will combine the membership opportunities for both the new Toastmaster and the veteran. The Toastmaster’s program is introduced to the member explaining in detail the Communications and new Leadership Manuals, speech preparation and evaluation, the importance of a mentor and the many roles of a Toastmaster member. (Open to all)

 

TM 102 - Your Toastmasters Membership
The Course will outline the organization and how it works, as well as the operation of an ideal club. The course will be an opportunity for all Toastmasters to learn about their organization and how they can enhance their membership through the program. (Open to all)

TM 103 - CC/AC/LDR Showcase
Are you working towards a Competent Communicator or Advanced Communicator Award? Do you need to present a module from the Leadership Excellence, Better Speaker, or Successful Club Series? If you want to give your next education award a boost, come prepared to present your speech, project, or module and receive a written and verbal evaluation. Members not presenting a speech, project, or module can receive credit towards their Competent Leader project for Speech Evalutor. Attendees that require completion credit for any education award must bring their manual or paperwork with them to the class.

TM 110 - Building Club Success Plans/Distinguished Club Planning
This course explains the Distinguished Club program, its components and recognition levels. Participants will focus on the Club's goals for the next six months and the entire year. A typical Success Plan of an open club and a company club will be constructed. Emphasis will be placed on measurable goals, strategies and resources required to achieve the goals of the coming year. (President, IPP)

TM 121 - Club Educational Programming
The Course focuses on educational programming and preparation of the Club Speaking schedule with all the required program assignments. (VP-Education, Newsletter Editor)
  TM 123 - Special Club Events
The course explains how to use special club events for effective and diverse educational programming. How to plan special events, allocate the required resources, and stimulate the club membership. How to increase club member participation by providing leadership and speaking opportunities. (VP-Education, Newsletter Editor, Sgt.-at-Arms)

TM 132 - Public Relations
The course teaches effective methods for putting the name of Toastmasters International before the public eye (and ears), to increase club membership. How and when to prepare a press release. How to get on the radio. How to use the public relations resources available through TI. (VP-Public Relations)

TM 134 - Membership Building
The course focuses on programs and methods to increase the club membership. How to maintain an active membership of at least twenty members. How to attract new members into the club and how to keep a member active and "onboard" longer than just six months! (VP Membership)

TM 135 – You’re the CEO
How will you lead and motivate your club to success? Did you know that the President is really the “CEO” of the club? In this session you will learn what you will need to do, as President, to ensure your club is successful and much more. (President, IPP)

TM 145 - Record Keeping
The course explains the duties of the Club Secretary and Treasurer, specifically the recording of financial, business, and historical records. How to prepare the business minutes and maintain the active club membership list.  How to administer and track funds, e.g. collect dues, pay bills. How to process a new member application. (Treasurer, Secretary)

TM 161 - The Club Meeting Environment
Do your meetings start on time? Is the Pledge of Allegiance required? Who should keep track of club supplies? This session will teach you how to ensure that your club has what it needs to conduct well-run meetings and much more.  The course also explains how the Sgt.-at-Arms sets up the proper meeting environment and provides for the reception of guests and members. (Sgt.-at-Arms)
 

TM 205 - Speechcraft
From the Success/Communication Series, this program is designed to develop leadership skills as well as teach speaking skills in a seminar workshop format. This program helps participants gain confidence in communication, including writing and delivering speeches, impromptu speaking, using audiovisual aids and body language, and improving effective listening. (Open to all)

  TM 231 – Teamwork makes the Dream work
Teams are the most effective means of getting things accomplished. You will learn how to get your team organized and working together to accomplish set goals. Learning how to form and lead a team is critical to becoming a successful leader.  (Open to all)

TM 236 - How to Conduct Productive Meetings
From the Success/Leadership Series, this program reveals the techniques and dynamics for conducting productive meetings for any group. What are the secrets to opening and concluding meetings? How can you tell if the meeting is running smoothly? This program answers these questions and more as it shows how to conduct effective meetings

TM 237 - Parliamentary Procedure in Action
From the Success/Leadership Series, appropriate rules of order are a must in most corporations, associations and organizations. The ability to understand and apply parliamentary skills is a much sought-after quality among managers and leaders. This program teaches how to effectively lead and participate in parliamentary-style discussions. (Open to all)

 

TM 242 - How to Listen Effectively
From the Success/Communication Series, listening is a far more active skill than some may think. Effective listening requires certain techniques for receiving, organizing and interpreting what has been said. This program helps participants recognize and develop those skills. (Open to all)

  TM 251 - The Art of Effective Evaluation
From the Success/Communication Series, evaluations are the most important part of the Toastmasters program. The ability to effectively evaluate any situation or condition is crucial, no matter what your vocation. This program teaches the finer points of offering constructive criticism. (Open to all)
  TM 253 - Building Your Thinking Power, Part I: Mental Flexibility
From the Success/Communication Series, mental flexibility can be defined as a way of thinking – an attitude. It’s a way of approaching situations that allows you to adapt behavior to achieve the best outcomes. In this program, participants learn to increase their mental flexibility to become better listeners, better observers, better thinkers and more effective problem-solvers. (Open to all)
  TM 254 - Building Your Thinking Power, Part II: The Power of Ideas
From the Success/Communication Series, people who are skilled at producing new ideas can make an important contribution to society. This program clarifies the basic principles of creative thinking and explores specific techniques that can make participants more effective idea producers. (Open to all)
  TM 255 - Leadership, Part I: Characteristics of Effective Leaders
From the Success/Leadership Series, managers analyze information, make inferences and make decisions daily. Leaders, on the other hand, influence and inspire group members and motivate followers to achieve a mission or goal. They have power. This program defines the qualities that determine effective leaders.
  TM 256 - Leadership, Part II: Developing Your Leadership Skills
From the Success/Leadership Serie
s, to be an effective leader, you must have the ability to accept and overcome challenges. By being a positive influence, a leader will help team members to function productively and deliver quality performance. This program teaches the skills and techniques needed to be an effective leader, such as contracting for excellence, team-building, motivation and coaching. (Open to all)
 

TM 257 - From Speaker to Trainer
Many businesses and organizations have realized the importance of training. Properly trained people increase productivity and make fewer mistakes. But how do you train people? In this program you will discover the five steps involved in preparing and presenting a training program using adult learning principles. You will also learn the roles of trainers and the differences between public speaking and training. You will gain practical experience in facilitating discussion and conducting exercises. (Open to all)

  TM 258 - Leadership, Part III: Working in the Team Environment
From the Success/Leadership Series, today, in businesses and other organizations around the world, people are talking about teams. They use such words as “teamwork,” “project teams,” “work teams” and “team leaders.” In this program you will discover the qualities of effective teams and how to build a team. Topics covered include developing team relations, encouraging commitment, fostering collaboration, building trust and resolving conflict.
  TM 259 - Improving Your Management Skills
From the Success/Leadership Series, managers are an integral part of any organization. All societies depend on the goods and services provided by the organizations these individuals manage. Each of us has experience with employees every day, directly or indirectly, as we come into contact with businesses and other organizations. Whether we have positive experiences in these encounters depends greatly on the people who manage them. This program helps develop the skills and qualities required to be an effective manager, and it shows how you can incorporate them into your own work. (Open to all)

TM 262 – High Performance Leadership
This program helps members develop leadership skills. Five projects offer instruction and practice in vital leadership areas such as developing a vision, goal-setting and planning, developing plans and strategies and team building. Learn more about it. This is an essential step to earning your Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) designation. (Open to all)

TM 318 - The Presiding Officer
This course explains how to set the agenda of a proper business meeting. The roles of the presiding officer, the secretary, and the various standing committee chair people are explained.  How to effectively originate "new business" without a long battle with Robert’s Rules of Order. How to handle special  situations and use a parliamentarian. (President, all VPs, Secretary)
  TM 319 – Achieving the Goals
Is your club achieving its educational goals? Are members giving manual speeches? The VPE is responsible for helping club members achieve their educational goals. You will learn how to monitor the progress of educational goals, add variety to your meetings, and encourage members to actively participate in meetings. Also a demonstration of a great tool to help you, “The Club Scheduler” (VP Education)

TM 320 – Strength in Numbers
Is your club at charter strength? As VPM, you are responsible for helping your club achieve its membership goals, i.e., retention and recruitment. You will learn how to help your club increase membership and much more. (VP Membership)

TM 321 - Contest Planning
This course focuses on how to prepare, plan, and execute a Club, Area and Division Speech Contest. (VP-Educations, IPP, Contest Chairs, Area Governors, Division Governors)
 

TM 322 - Leading to Succeed
This session will combine the concepts of Success/Leadership Series and how it can improve the club environment, the new Competent Leadership Manual, and how to enhance your leadership skills through the Toastmaster’s program. This course is designed to instill leadership and encourage leaders. (Open to all)

TM 331 - Judging Contests
This course will focus on how to judge Speech contests using the Toastmasters International Judges Training Program and the importance of understanding, following and using the current contest rules and judging criteria at the Club, Area and Division levels.  Conscientious attendance to the rules will properly ensure fairness for all members competing at any level.  Participants receive a certificate of completion, and will be eligible to have their name put on a judges list for future contests. (Open to all)

TM 332 – Chief Judging Contests
This course will focus on the fundamentals of administrating a contest as the chief judge.  Attendees will be eligible to serve as a chief judge for future contests.  (Open to those attending TM 331).

TM 401 - Discovering the Successful Club / Better Speakers Series
This course focuses on the importance of understanding, following and using the modules in the Successful Club Series to strengthen your Club with proven Toastmasters principles and practices. The Better Speakers Series provides the tools to build and refresh your members’ basic speaking skills. In addition, you will learn how to build Advanced Leaders. (Open to all)

TM 403 - Club Demo / Sponsor / Mentor
New Clubs provide more people with the opportunity to participate in the Toastmasters Communication and Leadership program. This in turn helps your community or company club become a better place. The time and effort that you expend in building a new club helps you directly. You will have the opportunity to use the communication and leadership skills that you have acquired through participation in Toastmasters. You will be recognized as a person who gets things done. You will have the opportunity to make new contacts which could open the door to career advancement. As the Sponsor or Mentor of a new club, you will also be eligible for Advanced Leader Silver, club building credit. (Open to all)

TM 601/602 - Enhancing Club Newsletters and Web Sites
Course focuses on the attributes of an effective club newsletter and web site. Topics to be explained, discussed and demonstrated include how to build and update club newsletters and web sites. (Open to all)

TM 603 - Evaluating the Speaker
The course focuses on the attributes of an effective evaluation.  Topics to be explained and discussed include: how to prepare for an evaluation; listening and observing; giving the 2 – 3 minute evaluation. (Open to all)

TM 604/605 - Speechcraft & Youth Leadership Program
This course has been combined to offer the individual member the benefits of utilizing these programs within their clubs as a community service, and as a membership building tool. The Speechcraft program explains how to coordinate a program, how to use it as a training program within the club, and as a membership building resource. The Youth Leadership Program explains the program and how it can be utilized for community service by the member/club. (Open to all)

TM 606 – Leadership Beyond the Club
Have you ever thought about becoming an Area Governor, Division Governor, or other District Leader? Here’s your chance to find out the requirements for these offices. Find out the duties, responsibilities, and rewards of District Leadership. (President, IPP)

  TM 607 - Mentoring the Member for Success
This workshop is designed to illustrate the benefits of a mentoring program within the club for every member.  Toastmaster’s International Mentoring Programs will be explained and the importance of a mentor to the individual Toastmaster will be outlined. Attendees will learn how to establish a mentoring program that works for their club. (VP Education, President)
