Speaker Biography: Oliver Cozby
I joined Toastmaster in March 1998. I have served in all 7 club officer positions and have earned a CL for each position. I have served as both an Area Governor (1998-99/Select Distinguish) and a Division Governor (2002-2003/President’s Distinguish.) I earned my first DTM 18 months after joining (September 1999). When President of Logistics Toastmaster, the club became the only club in North America to complete 9 goals by October. That year was the second of a three-year run as a President’s Distinguish Club. I have given over 250 speeches in Toastmasters, including various training modules. I have 46 Toastmasters International's educational certificates, including 3 DTM plaques. I have served as a Club Sponsor, a Club Mentor, a Club Specialist, and a Club Coach.

I delivered, as company training, the following presentations: How To Conduct Productive Meetings; Leadership Part I: Characteristics of Effective Leaders; Leadership Part II: Developing Your Leadership Skills; Leadership Part III: Working in the Team Environment. Also conducted several Success Communication Workshops including: How To Listen Effectively; Building Your Thinking Power: Part I: Mental Flexibility and Part II: The Power of Ideas, and a Speechcraft.

I have also made many speeches and presentations to non-Toastmasters audiences at work, at church, and in the community. In addition to my Toastmaster International credits, I have also been a Boy Scout Adult Leader for 10 year and have earned several leadership awards, including Boy Scout highest adult leader award, the Wood Badge beads. I am a certified Lay Speaker in the United Methodist Church and have taught several Lay Speaking courses, Sunday School classes (adult and youth) and conducted a weekly worship service at a retirement home in 2001. I am a board member the Artisan Center Theater in Hurst.
