DISTRICT 25 CLUB WEBSITE CONTEST RULES
Club websites will be judged on how well they help fulfill the Club Mission “…to provide a mutually supportive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communications and leadership skills…”
For consideration in the Club Website Contest, all entries must adhere to the following entry requirements:

Submit your club’s website address to District 25 Public Relations Officer Dodi Foster by e-mail. The e-mail message must include the name, address and telephone number of the club’s webmaster, as well as the club number.

The website must remain accessible from the time of the club’s initial entry through Saturday, June 30, 2008. Any websites that cease to exist during this time period will be disqualified.

The website must clearly indicate which club and district are being represented. Websites without this information will be disqualified.

Entry to the contest can be made any time between February 1, 2008 and April 20, 2008. Entries received after the April 20th deadline will not be accepted.

Where content or material is reproduced from other sources, a credit line should be included. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entry not resembling a website.

Area and Division websites are not eligible for this contest.

All entering clubs must be in good standing with Toastmasters International – dues fully paid.
Judging Standards
Club Websites are judged on the following criteria:
Content

Is content focused on achieving the club’s mission?

Does the Website contain information that would encourage outsiders to seek club membership?

Does the Website promote understanding of Toastmasters programs, promotions and policies?

Is the Website informative and entertaining?

Does the Website prominently feature contact information such as names, telephone numbers and/or e-mail address?
Readability
-
Does the writing meet acceptable standards for sentence structure, spelling, punctuation and grammar?

Is the writing interesting and clear?
Layout and Presentation

Does the Website’s appearance stimulate reader interest?

Does its layout indicate careful attention to spacing, balance, effective use of graphics and the importance and organization of the material presented?
Final Judging
A committee of impartial District representatives will judge the Website Contest. All decisions are final. First, Second and Third place Awards will be presented at the District 25 Spring Conference in May 2008. |
